Syria

WINTER IS HERE

Syrians are currently experiencing the worst of winter. The end of 2018 and beginning of 2019 has brought heavy rains in northern Syria that mean increased suffering for thousands of families in refugee camps near the Turkish border.

Donors like you ensure that families in need are prepared to make it through the frigid temperatures. Rahma uses donations to provide food, fuel(heating), blankets and winter clothing and building shelters for those who lost their tents during the storms.

PAY ATTENTION TO SYRIA: EIGHT YEARS OF CONFLICT

A conflict that started on March 15, 2011 has now surpassed seven years of violence and fear across Syria, and beyond its borders. At least half of those affected are children–more than 50% of Syrian children no longer attend school. For many of them, this war has been all they’ve ever known.

According to UNHCR and OCHA, there are more than 5 million registered Syrian refugees, and 13.5+ million people inside of Syria in need of humanitarian aid.The United Nations has declared the Syrian conflict “the worst of the 21st century.”
